Starting at just 6weeks of pregnancy i was diagnoised with "Hyperemesis Gravidarum" (severe nausea and vomiting) this only occurs in 1 in 200 women. i had a VERY tuff pregnancy, in and out the hospital due to dehydration and malnutrition from constantvomiting. since i am still not able to keep food down, i have a picline inserted in my arm so i can receive IV fluids. i am on a IV called "TPN" it has everything the baby needs such as nutrients, vitamins, protein etc. its kinda like a food supplement. im am on this IV for a little over 10hours per day. i have a nurse who comes to my home atleast once a week. I've had a few "Threatened Miscarriges". and the list goes on and on. ive been through ALOT, and now things are easing up a little, i never thought it would but im still not great,im jus okay sometimes. I went throught so much especially to be so early in pregnancy words cant describe. Is there possibly any1 else out there tha has experienced a tuff pregnancy? Because i felt like the only one in the world experiencing something like this....:(
I too had hyperemesis, plus I had gastric bypass surgery about 5 years ago. Iam now 24 weeks preggo and they are talking about hooking me up to tpn as well. I have a doc that doesn't want to listen to me. So I feel your pain. I am now so anemic that I still may lose my baby.
I almost miscarried 2x. I was on bedrest 2x. I caught hepatitis E in my 3rd trimester (at 28 weeks) and had to have an emergency c-section at 30 weeks because my fevers would go down
I am at ten weeks and also have hyperemesis. I have lost ten pounds so far, but was only 130 to start with. I have been in and out of the hospital and am currently getting a shot of phenergan for nausea twice a day at home. Some days I can keep some food down, but mostly I just try to keep liquids down. I am hoping things will ease up when I am out of the first trimester!!
