Cycle lengths after IUD Dee♡ 2 kids; 1 angel baby; .., IN, United States 6104 posts

I had my IUD removed 9/12. My first period started on 9/15. Ended on 9/18. I ovulated on 9/24, CD 10. I’m currently on CD 31. No AF, yet. Multiple negative pregnancy tests. The only symptoms I have are tender, swollen breasts. So far no cramping, when I normally cramp a few days before AF. Creamy CF. My cycles were 28-30 days with the IUD.

Seeing as we are TTC, I’ve been tracking and trying to time DTD since DH isn’t home every night. So, my question is, if you had an IUD (especially Mirena) and had it removed, did your cycle length change? Did it eventually go back to normal? Was it hard to conceive (if you did)?

I know IUDs can mess up your cycle, but I’m just trying to get an idea of what to expect.

TIA!

I’ve never personally had an IUD, but from everything I’ve seen cycle length probably won’t change but it may take a few cycles to actually regulate.
