So I had my ultrasound done...when doc came in to do a quick look over on baby's kidneys and so on...she told me there was a small spot in the baby's stomach that they are going to have to keep an eye on...I asked her right away is it something to worry about and she said as of right now all we can do is keep an eye on it but do not worry! Dont freak of course I kept my cool but days passed and I couldn't stop thinking about it...any other can relate? What were you told about those spots that show on the ultrasound?

Echogenic material in a fetus's stomach can be seen in ultrasound and most times its usually nothing. It could be swallowed vernix caseosa, or epithelial clumps. Don't panic. If the doctor says don't worry most times its nothing.

Did they schedule a follow up ultrasound? If they suspected something that would require you to have some amount of worry, I do believe they would have said what it was. In this case, I wouldn't worry. I speak from experience.
