will they move my EDD? fluffyruffruff 5 kids; United States 4727 posts

I know the boldness of lines on hpts arent a good way of setting an EDD... But i dont think im as far along as my lmp put me at. For starters, i didnt get a bfp until AF was 9 days "late"... And it was very very very faint. All my other bfps like that were closer to 12 dpo. So my question is, when i go in for my u/s next monday, is it likely they will move my edd or leave it where it is since itll only be off by 10 or so days? Ill be 12+3 weeks at the time of the u/s, so are they more likely to go by my lmp or the size on the scan?

The scan, I would imagine? 12 week scan is the dating scan here, so that would be right when you're getting your scan.

I would ask for an earlier dating scan. They're more accurate before 10 weeks

I think everywhere is different. They moved mine by 8 days because of a 12 week scan even though I 100% knew it was wrong.

Every doctor is different. My first two kids they went off the dating ultrasound at 8 weeks. This time it's a different office and they only change it if there's a week difference. So my due date is 5 days before my the due date of my dating ultrasound even though I also told them I ovulated late.

I think that big of a difference they would though.

My u/s is 5 days away and its a b***h to find childcare without much notice... Ill just have to wait it out. But if i am right, ill be closer to 10 weeks and a few days at the time... So it should be fairly accurate, yeah?

I would hope so... I went 16 days over due with my last (using the same dr) and he was comfortable letting me go that far over so it really shouldnt be a big issue... But i just dont want the whole idea of induction to come up way before its necessary, ya know?

My Dr with DD moved my due date by one day. With my next 2 i had a different Dr and they figured it was close enough that i was measuring within a few days so they didnt change it

Oh i know. That's my issue with mine too. My kids are always late and they dont like to go past 41 weeks she said. I'm willing to fight for it though if I have to.

This last pregnancy i had a dating u/s around when i was supposed to be 12 odd weeks. The scan showed a different dd than the one based off my lmp, but my midwife said because it wasnt more than 5 days different they were going to keep my dd from lmp.

though frankly i think both were wrong because the rest of the pregnancy she was measuring a week to 1.5 weeks behind her dd.

My doctor will only move your due date if its a 10 day difference from your lmp.
