Hand hygiene.  Soap and warm water. Have everyone wash hands before handling baby. If your 2 year old is in diapers, wash hands really well after each diaper change.

Wow that was a long sentence lol. I'm sure it'll be ok. Both my kids have the stomach virus right now too. Baby should be protected! No worries

Baby should be fine, however prevention helps a lot. In addition to the hand washing, Clorox and Lysol everything. Yes even the walls ( I used Clorox wipes and just did a quick wipe of them) because kids touch those. Light switches, phones, remotes, toys, car keys, etc. Make sure all dishes are ran through dishwasher if possible, if not make sure your water is extra hot. I got some Lysol air and sprayed every room in the house, opened the windows and turned the fans on while we went to play out for a few. Even if your older LO is feeling better, do it anyways! Make sure hubby keeps hand sanitizer in his car and can use it as he leaves work before he touches the steering wheel. I went a little nuts and did my car since hubby and i were in it before and after we got sick. BUT (knock on wood) Weve all been better since then.

Ds1 had it while ds2 was still a newborn... if breastfeeding baby is pretty well covered from all the immunities being received from your milk. Ds2 never got it and was just fine. Wash hands no kissing baby and go crazy with Lysol spray on surfaces to help ward off the virus. Give it a week or 2 to make sure it isn't going to pass to one another.

Dd2 had the stomach bug when dd3 was first born, she never got it. The baby isn't mobile so she can't contaminate herself so that's a plus. Just make sure you and your dh are washing ypur hands frequently and wipe down doorknobs, light switches, toilet handle etc with a disinfectant.

Our 16 month old daughter occasionally has the same thing. He/she may have a stomach bug. Try doing no dairy for a while. If it happens after- it may be an intolerance. My daughter settled when I started her on Toddler magic tea and cutting dairy.
