Why is this painful. Is this normal? Hippy Mommy Due June 27 (girl); 3 kids; Atlanta, GA, United States 656 posts

I'm not really sure what's going on with me, and was hoping that maybe you guys might have experienced something similar and could enlighten me to what the hell going on with my body right now.  The last week or two now that I'm eight months has been really painful baby has been moving a lot but it's not normal kicking movement more so like rolling or something I don't even know how to really explain... I'll get all of a sudden a jolt in certain parts of my belly that literally make me jump up and cry because they're so painful. Now it seems every time she's moving it hurts really bad and I'm not sure if this is normal towards the end because with my other three girls I've never experienced this.

I assume it's normal cause I'm feeling the same! I almost feel like he's pushing nerves and it really hurts! I didn't feel this much pain from twins' movements.

I had this with my last baby. He never kicked, he just rolled and pushed his back out against my tummy, and it hurt so much. I'd cry every time he moved. He was a very big baby though, so I just put it down to that lol

For my pregnancy with ds2 from 7 months on it was very painful because he kept flipping from head up to head down it sucked. Around 38 weeks he flipped for the final time, I had a huge pain and tried to get up out of bed I managed to stand but had to hold myself up at the end of the bed, I thought he was coming out lol. Then just normal "labor" type pains up until my csection.

I had that problem with my second baby but it hurt as soon as I started feeling movements =/ it was only in one area of my belly and my midwife made me paranoid by telling me it was probably because my uterus was thinner in that section (near my belly button)  due to having babies almost back to back (theyre 1 year and 3 weeks apart)
