Maybe your body is just adjusting to it?

Thanks ladies. I'm hoping so since they told me it's suppose to make them lighter. Thank goodness the cramping stopped.

Definitely normal. I just had my put in last month and had my 1 month follow-up yesterday. She said increased bleeding for up to 3 months is normal while your body adjusts and after that is when most women stop almost entirely.

I had mine the full 5 years. And the first few months I bled off and on but it slowly got lighter to spotting a few times a month then it just kept slowing down to spotting once a month to once every few months. A little over the 2 year mark mine stopped completely.  The 5th year was the worst.  I had so many pregnancy scares,  my body was reacting oddly getting more crampy. I ended up getting my tubes tied,  and they found a cyst they had to remove with my fallopian tunes. I would still get the mirena again but maybe get it taken out faster.
