DS2 is 12 days old and needs to be held all the time. He sleeps well at night but i can not put him down during the day for more than a few minutes without him waking up screaming. How long does that need to be held all day last? I can't remember how it was with my other kids

Just depends on the kid, they're all different. My first was wanting to be held all the time for 2 years, my second didn't want to held until he was 2 lol

My oldest was like that..... until he figured out how to walk!   enjoy it now, as annoying as it can be! they grow up so fast. i'm lucky if I can get a minute cuddle out of my 3 yr old.

Depends. My first was like that for a month or two.
My second isn't like that at all.

Does swaddling help? He probably just wants to feel warm and snug.

Yes he's swaddled at night and i believe thats why he does well but i feel like i should let his arms out sometimes in the day. My oldest was like this but my 19m old was ok being plopped anywhere as a newborn so this like starting all over again except with 2 toddlers to deal with too

Between BF around the clock and rocking & holding my dd3, I sat on my butt pretty much the first three months. For the first six weeks, she'd only sleep if laying on me. Fun times!

I have a wrap that I used 100% correctly and it was still very uncomfortable for me.  I hope you can find something that works for you!
