Which do you feel works better? I'm so engorged but still not able to get much out with my electric pump. Was wondering if a manual pump would work better?

Electric. Are you using the 'let down' speed long enough?  It also helps to be near your baby and drink tons of water before.

I've heard a lot of people react to a mania better.

ive never tried a manual bc these b**bs could hold 20 oz and I'm not trying to hurt my hand and sit there forever trying to pump.

I exclusively pumped for a year with my third baby. I preferred an electric just for the ease of use, but I had to do a lot of squeezing and massaging of my breasts to get them to empty. So, almost hand expressing while using the electric. The first few months I was constantly getting clogged ducts too.

The manual was a nightmare. I tried once when we were at the fair, in a bathroom stall. and OMFG, never again.
My only issue with the manual was that my let down was too strong and would have needed one on each side. I was soaked, it was one of the worst experiences.

I'm faithful to my electric though, daily.
If you're too engorged where it's uncomfortable, hop in the shower and try hand expressing.
