my 6yr old is peeing herself .. ??? ☆OGTattedmama07☆ Due July 23; 3 kids; Ghetto, Ca, United States 37047 posts

she's been potty trained since she was 2! The past week she's been having accidents. I don't understand why this is happening.

Dh thinks she's being lazy and choosing to pee on herself instead of going to the bathroom.

I don't understand how she just would decide at 6 yrs old that she is too lazy to go when she's busy.

What can i do? Any one else experience this?

Uti? From what i understand, it often feels like you constantly have to pee... But nothing comes out. Maybe she has a uti and cant tell when she actually has to pee.

You should take her to the doctor for urine test.

Bring her to the pediatrician and get them to do a urinalysis. She may have a uti or bladder infection.

DS1 is a really heavy sleeper and will wet the bed occasionally. We've had to make sure he doesn't have anything to drink too close to bedtime.
I'd get a urine test just to be sure though. Thankfully DS just doesn't wake up with the urge...and he said he dreams of going to the bathroom a lot.

Sidekcik did this. Nothing was wrong with her - it was more of a mental thing. I quit calling it "accidents" and starting saying "you peed your pants" (very direct and honest). It worked.
