UTI? Monster Max and Destry's 3 kids; Xenia, Ohio 9299 posts

my daughter is 20 months. She has been off and on sick since around new years. It started with croup, then stomach virus, then she was better for a few weeks... then she got an ear infection with a cold. got better with amoxicillin, but symptoms returned. I took her back to the pedi, who said the ear infection didn't go away, and ordered omnicef. she has been taking it for 8 days, and the ear symptoms are gone but she has developed an awful dry cough, green snot, runny nose, low grade fever...
The omnicef has made her poop more (not diarrhea). She doesn't seem to have much of a rash, maybe a little redness... which I'm putting ointment on it. Well for the past hour after I changed another poopy diaper, she has been randomly yelling/crying and grabbing at her diaper and kind of squeezing her legs together, like she is in pain. My first thought is UTI because of the excessive poops, but she's already on antibiotics, so that doesn't make much sense?
I'm not really sure what to do... just the cold like symptoms are bothersome because she's been sick SO much lately it's unreal, but I was going to wait it out over the weekend and see if she got over it. But with her acting like there's something else bothering her, I just don't know if I should take her to Children's urgent care tomorrow if she's not better. WDYT?

Could be developing a yeast infection from all of the antibiotics. Will she eat yogurt? Lots of sickie germs this time of year unfortunately...

I didn't think of that! Makes much more sense. She seemed to have stopped grabbing at herself and crying, but I did give ibuprofen a while ago. I'm just going to keep an eye on it. Hope it gets better!
She does love yogurt so I'll just give her some extra tomorrow and until it all clears up
