Just came from the eye doctor with Braxton. He's a little far sighted that is why his left eye crosses sometimes. Doctor said he is going to have him wear glasses for 3 months, but as weak as his prescription will be he doesn't think it will do much. He's talking eye muscle surgery. I just don't know about that. Just made my day sad. His eye isn't that bad for eye muscle surgery is it? Does it even work anyways? Decisions decisions, but just pray the glasses do their job. Very Sadf796b67426858a85a87846ce9b6866ee.JPG

A friend of mine's daughter had eye muscle surgery at 1year old. It completely fixed her crossed eyes. She still wears glasses but is no longer cross eyed.

Thanks mama. Thanks for that! :) I edited pictures so they are no longer sideways.

I think it is a good idea even if scary just because it could probably worsen as he grew older, I would think.

We have to go see the specialist in a few weeks for the same reason with my 1 year old.  I'm hoping she just needs glasses or a patch temporarily

I hope your little girl does too. It's scary to even think about.

Nothing was mentioned about wearing a patch?

Nope, he said glasses. Gave me a prescription for it. I know his doctor figured he would either need a patch or glasses. I guess when we go back to the eye doctor... hoping the glasses work though... I'll ask about a patch first if they mention eye surgery again. See if they think it will benefit anything.

My niece had surgery at 2yrs old to fix her lazy eye. It is soo much better than before but every once in awhile she does still go cross eyed.

My son has a lazy eye that crosses.  When he is tired and not wearing his glasses it crosses but his prescription seems to control it.
no one ever talked to me about surgery but I don't know if I'd go through with it if the glasses can control the crossing

Of the glasses control it I definitely won't. I pray it controls it.

That's a relief to know though!
