I need help My Four year old will not poop in the potty. Ive tried catching him when its time and taking him into the bathroom...and he wont go  but he will sneak off and poop hours later. I had almost the same problem with My older child, now 7. Oldest was not successful with pooping the potty until Prek at 4 almost 5 years old and still had some accidents in kindergarten and 1st grade. I really dont want to repeat this with my youngest. Please help!

I potty trained DS to poop in the potty by giving him a suppository and sitting him on the toilet. He had constipation issues either way and needed a suppository about once a week. So I just used that time to sit him on the toilet. He would always poop in his underwear, and I would do what you do, which was to sit him on the toilet if I know he needs to poo. But he would just hold it in then poop in his underwear. After I gave him the suppository he pooped. I mean they can't really keep themselves from pooping though after a suppository. But anyways anytime he had to poop, he would go in the potty.

My oldest had issues with constipation but 4 year old is very regular he normally poops at least once a day in the mornings, at one point he was even going into the bathroom to poop in his pants now he just hides behind something and then screams I pooped with a big smile on his face. I don't know what to do to get him to actually try and poop in the potty instead of just holding it in until he is off the potty
