Diaper Allergy?!?! RaeOfSunshine 2 kids; West Virginia 319 posts

My Dd has recently been getting this weird pimple like diaper rash on her bottom and I think it may be a reaction to her diapers but it's the same brand (huggies) she's been wearing since she was born (2 year ago)! Is that even possible??? Or what do you think could be causing this?

She is working on potty training and wears her big girl underwear during the day at home but at night or when we're out she wears diapers :(

Could be the start of a yeast infection.

Exclamation sounds like a yeast diaper rash.

Is she wiping good after going to the potty? When my girls were potty training they sometimes didn't wipe well and some of their pee would sit on their butt cheeks and it would cause a little rash.

It could be the underwear that she wears during the day? maybe a sensitivity to the detergent used to wash them?

I never thought about that... I think I'm just going to take her to the pediatrician tomorrow.

Yep I help her wipe everytime she uses the potty.

I use tide free & gentle on everything because she also has eczema :(

My daughter did the same thing around 2 years old. Her doctor ended up sending her to a dermatologist. She started getting pimples on her butt and down the inside of her thighs. The dermatologist said it was a combination of eczema and her still wearing a diaper and the bacteria from the pee/poop irritating her skin. He said once she's potty trained it would go away. She's been potty trained for over a year now and hasn't had a problem since :)

Maybe a reaction to the toilet paper or baby wipes?
