My 2.5 year old DS has started licking things. It's disgusting. He licks the bottom of his shoes, people, books etc. Does anyone else's kids do this? Any suggestions how I can get him to stop?!? Or at least lick things that are less gross lol

I would be having one giant constant panic attack. But, years ago in my Microbiology class we did a huge project on what's on the bottom of our shoes so... Sad

I mean, he puts everything in his mouth anyway, no matter where it's been lol but the licking has just taken it to whole new levels Surprised

My son tries to eat his shoes I feel your pain. He also likes to window lick GROSS.
We use a chewy from ARK but he also has SPD and autism so it helps with that too.

To my knowledge it's pretty normal for 2 to 3 year olds even some four year olds do it. I got my nephew to stop by explaining germs as tiny spiders that nibble at you till your sick. (First thing that popped into my head!) He was horrified - I feel a bit bad about it now. But no more licking.
