Which do you prefer and why?

I'm trying to lose weight and with winter coming,  I don't think I'll be nearly as active as I want to be so I'm looking at getting either a treadmill or an elliptical to sort of help me out lol.

An elliptical is def a better workout as far as calorie burn... I like both though. Some winters I'll do the couch 2 5k thing on the treadmill. And by "some winters" I mean, probably not in 3 years... Embarassed

We do have both and I wouldn't want to get rid of either one, I like both.

Treadmill.

you can always change up the program, the incline and pace.

I absolutely love my elliptical and prefer it over a treadmill.

Elliptical is where it's at.  More calorie burn for what seems like easier work but I always am in my target heart rate and end up with a nice sweat.

Elliptical. Treadmill  hurts my knees.

I prefer treadmill because I like pushing myself father each time. I feel lazy on an elliptical lol. Nothing against it, it's just not fast enough for me

Treadmill. I don't make as much progress on the elliptical and I like the pressure of interval training on a treadmill. You don't even have to run for it to be effective, incline training will do wonders. I lost 40lbs and raised my ass just by incline walking. (well, and drinking tons of water)
