Quoting twatpocket:
Way easier than getting on here all the time. I'm making a group on FB and anyone due around January, February or March 2017 is welcome to join. Generally it's going to be a more "crunchy" group so... just a heads up, there. Formula and breastfeeding both supported, cosleeping and bedsharing and separate rooms supported. Babywearing and strollers supported. Organic and non organic, baby food and baby led weaning, pro and anti vax, whatever. No pro-circ though, no spanking, and no CIO.

And for what it's worth, this is not a "I'm right you're wrong f**k you" kind of post like I used to see on here, it's just nice to talk to a group of likeminded mamas! I'll post the link if anyone's interested :)

Literally nothing about this screams "generally crunchy".... 38

Also, what are your plans to weed our the circ'ers, the spankers, and the CIO-ers? Photo evidence?

Meh I only say generally crunchy because those three things people tend to think are super crunchy lol. I figure those people probably wouldn't bother requesting to join though

These groups generally fall off after a few months, especially if its going to be all the same and no diversity.

but seriously OP, nothing is super crunchy about that.. And anti circ? Sounds like you just want a bunch of yous in there- personally IDGAF what people choose to do with their child's p***s, nor do I discuss what I and my husband chose. Obviously each family makes a choice based on what they feel is best

My second DD group was wonderful. We are all completely different in the ways we go about pregnancy, labor and parenting. Yet, we all got along. Shocker huh?

Excluding people based on personal choices is silly OP.

You mean adults who respect each others personal choices and if they don't agree perhaps point out why and have constructive conversations around it? I'm shocked at the amount of adult behavior going on there!

Exclamation Honestly it's good to have people with different views if they can be mature and civil to each other if they disagree.

I'm not really understanding how it's immature or one sided to want one group, for once, with likeminded moms? I'm not sitting here saying "holy shit you're all terrible parents and I hate you", I'm saying I want to be able to talk to moms who have the same type of views, for once. Instead of constantly seeing posts about spanking and circumcision and crying it out. If I wanted a group of people who were ONLY like me, there wouldn't be literally only three things I don't want in the group... If you don't want to be part of it, you can just not join, lol. Just like if there was a pro circ, pro spanking, pro CIO group, I'm not interested and therefore wouldn't join.

I'm still in my 2nd DDG. We all get along. It's been 3 years and we still post and talk every day. We have different views regarding infant feeding, babywearing vs stroller, sleeping arrangements, pro/anti vax, school/homeschool, hospital/birth center/homebirth, epidural/no epidural, breastfeeding/formula feeding, etc. We can be different and be adults about it, and we're on the same page about spanking, circ, and CIO- but still, 3yrs later, we're all still good friends. And I've learned a lot from them- shocker! Lol. Just don't join if you don't want to be part of it.
