I know a restless baby can be normal but when my now 3 month old was born (at 34.3 weeks, 2 weeks in NICU) he used to jump alot or twitch a little and I was told it was because his nervous system wasn't fully developed and it was normal. Now at 3 months he kinda still jumps out of his sleep and is fidgety for about the first half hour before he actually falls asleep. He sleeps flat on his back and sometimes he wont sleep unless hes on his belly (which I watch him like a hawk when he does) and I don't know if it still has to do with the fact that he was a preemie baby or if its just something 3 month olds do. My husband and I are concerned and sometimes doctors generalize the answer to our questions.

mine where not really pre term born between 35+6 and 40+3 weeks they all where twitchy and fidgeted alot there still same now and they are alot older. think its just normal baby things moving and getting active they are all fine and healthy. its normal to worry though because of him been pre term i would be same especially if i didnt have any older kids to go off how they where as well.
