Blood tests Blair B Due January 25; 1 child; 1 angel baby; Pennsylvania 3227 posts

My insurance covers a blood test where they check for many different abnormalities the baby could have and many different disabilities. It also can tell me the sex of the baby. Since my insurance covers it I figured why not get it done and I will get the results in 2 weeks but I can't decide if I want to know the sex of my baby that early or not. I'm only 10 weeks right now so I'd be 12 weeks when I get my results. Would you want to know the sex of the baby that early?

I would because I'm impatient and would want to start buying things lol

But then at the same time, it would suck because then all there would be to wait for is the birth and thats forever away! haha

I got that blood test done with this baby but my doctor did it at 13 weeks. And I found out the results 5 days later (business days) and I would do it again. My insurance also paid for it.

If it's covered yes! I also heard that way is most accurate to find or the gender vs going by ultrasound.

I had it done. It eased my mind since the results are over 99% accurate. I would say go for it!
