So my younger sister was induced today and is still in labor. My mom and her husband is there and instead of inviting me to see the birth of my nephew she is having 3 friends come instead of me. In my eyes this is beyond messed up. I am also pregnant with my 2nd child I'm 14 weeks 4 days and she never even said congrats or anything. She could care less. Iv been there a lot for her but she never there for me. I'm just sick of it. I needed to rant.

will the hospital actually let that many people in the room?  I know here, you get 2, that's it.  That is kind of messed up, you would think she would want someone close to her that has been through it to be there for her.  Sorry, sisters suck sometimes.

Does everyone know  you're pregnant? She may feel like you'll steal her thunder and take away some of the attention.

Honestly, I wouldn't invite my sister to my kids birth. I barely wanted me family there. I would take it with a grain of salt... I mean, blood doesn't always come first, as insulting as that may sound.

I find it insulting since I was there for her through out the whole pregnancy and these friends of hers where not. I mean iv helped her guided her so my me it a big middle finger

Yes everyone knows I'm pregnant.  She has always been super jealous of me and I don't really understand why. I for one was more surprised I was pregnant since we where not trying and we only did the deed once in like 4 months lol

Unfounded or not, she's probably just jealous. It sucks, but sibling rivalry can be fierce. And since everyone knows you're pregnant, she may see you and your pregnancy taking away spot light from her big day.

I don't mean to offend but I will 100% NOT have family of any kind at my birth.
my mom is the one who's coming to all my appointments with me etc, but I'll have a friend there when I give birth.

Here, the hospital allows I think 5. My mom, husband and best friend will be there. Possibly his mother, if she feels like she wants to go. I don't care one way or the other.

I'd be pretty pissed. Family first. And she obviously is being immature and can't be happy for you.

Are we talking about in the delivery room or just being at the hospital in general?

I don't know, personally I feel if she is comfortable enough to have her girlfriends in the room, she most definitely should her sister as well.

I don't want anyone in the delivery room other than DH.   I was thinking she wasn't invited to the hospital at all. Which is really shitty. I wouldn't be hurt at all to not be invited in the delivery room tho.

And maybe the gf's have already seen her goods?

In my opinion, just cuz they are in the room doesn't mean they are going to watch. my best friend had a bunch of people in the room cuz it was during a shift change and no one could leave during that time. she just asked everyone not to look and they respected her wishes.

Ya exactly. And by no means does someone have to stare at the vagina.
