Healing Clay? Gibson's Mommy 1 child; Texas 607 posts

So about 2 years ago I used to buy Food Grade Green Clay and would drink clay water/juice.
Stopped taking it because I moved and I couldn't find it anywhere in stores.
So i found some today, in powder form (Not Food Grade) bought it because it's great for insect bites, facial masks and all that.

But Im curious if it's ok to drink Clay water while pregnant? I found the food grade version but didn't buy it because I wasn't sure if it was ok?

Im going to call my Dr and ask, but was curious if anyone used to drink clay water also?

Never heard of it, what's it supposed to do? Like, what's the reason for drinking it, just curious.

It helps with your digestive track, helps sooth heart burn or if you have stomach ulcers. And has a lot of natural minerals that your body absorbs. When you use it on skin, it helps heal blemishes and pulls out dirt from clogged pores.

I used it on a really bad gash on my face a few years ago and had stitches and it was really hard to clean with regular soap, so i used the clay :) It healed up rather quickly and didn't scar as bad as i thought it would.

That's cool. I honestly have no clue if it's ok to drink while pregnant though, I'd call the OB as you said before.

Would you consider Prenatal Vitamins as Medication?
I've been looking into it and everything that i've found has stated to not consume it if your taking any medications...

Im still going to talk to my Dr about it. I just want to be sure that I ask her all the right questions 8)

I don't know, that's a good question. To me they're just vitamins which I consider different from medicine but I could be wrong.
