no doppler heart tone at 11 weeks trishthedish Due June 4; 17 kids; Illinois 3055 posts

We were unable to find the heart tone at 11 weeks dy doppler. My uterus is retroverted and my midwife says it is totally normal not to hear it at 11 weeks. This is my third pregnancy.
We didn't try to hear it by doppler until my 12th week of my first pregnancy.
At 11 weeks with my last pregnancy we were unable to find it. We did a quick utrasound and baby had no heart beat... so I am worried.
Anyone have any uplifting stories or links? I am quite familiar with the worst possible outcome, so I am looking for positivity here.

You had an ultrasound with this pregnancy and saw no heartbeat?

I'm sorry, if that's the case, sounds like you miscarried.:(

Hearing no heartbeat is different than seeing no heartbeat, though.

No. it was not an ultrasound. it was a doppler.

When is your next appt?
The doppler is not the ultrasound, she was refering to a previous pregnancy I think where they didn't see it.

I don't know, honestly. When I micarried I was supposed to be 9 weeks and nothing was heard on the doppler and when I went in for my ultrasound there wasn't a heartbeat.

When will you be getting an ultrasound?

There is hope.
We still haven't been able to pick up on the doppler at 15 weeks when I went into the ER again.

I'm sure your baby is just fine & wanted to hide from the doppler.

Uhh, you'd need to know. Especially if you had a missed abortion.
