Whats better to have a D&C or the Pill to miscarry?

Hi everyone I'm wondering in your experiences or opinions which is the best to have when needing to "miscarry" a pregnancy the prescription meds or getting a D&C? My baby passed away inside me 5 days ago and i haven't passed it yet naturally now have to consider other options. So i want to know whats the least painful and whats the bleed time with both if u could help please.

I had to go in for a D&C, I couldnt pass on my own. For me that was easier, I never had to see anything and just recovered. Im very sorry for your loss!

ithout taking the meds you run the risk of having to have the D&C done anyways to remove any tissue remaining. you can also have them do a pathology report on the tissue taken out to test if there was something on a genetic level causing the miscarriage. have you 100% confirmed the miscarriage? not trying to bring false hope but i have personal experience where had i NOT had the D&C because the doctors told me i was miscarrying.. i would have a healthy baby girl [other than the one i have]. IF you have for sure confirmed it then i recommend the D&C. it is not painful to have done you are knocked out. and the healing has a little more bleeding sometimes but its not that bad. i was in bed for one day just resting. there is always a risk with any surgery though but IMO its worth it because you risk having it done anyways.[and i am sorry for your loss. its very hard to lose a child, if you want to talk i am here and there are TONS of other mommies that can relate as well]

I'm so sorry for your loss.. I can't help.. But I didn't know women have had to do those kinds of things. That would suck so much. :(

I would just go in and have it done for me...

So sorry for your loss. i had a miscarriage 6 weeks ago, and had the option to wait to see if it passed on its own, do the pills or the d &c. I was told the d&c may cause scarring in the uterus. So i chose the pills cause i couldnt bear to wait it out. It wasnt too bad, had cramping and bled for 7 days. But every womans body will react differently. I also feared the pills would not work and i would need a d&c anyways, my OB told me the pills worked %80 if the time.
