Today i went in for my first OB appt. and i am supposed to be 7 weeks along, but the baby is measuring 6 weeks. A week behind. There was a yolk sac but i didnt see a heartbeat. i asked my dr. about it and he said its still early to see it. but i thought you could usually see it by then?
Anyway now im really worried that i had a missed miscarriage. :(
I go back in in a week to check for growth and we will have more answers then. but i am a wreck.
So i wanted to know if any of you ladies babies were measuring a week behind this early on and they caught up? or did it end badly?:(
I've done some searching around google and whatnot and i have read a few ladies who had a similar situation and the baby caught up a few weeks later, and that is what im hoping for, i just wish i could have seen that blinking little heartbeat on the screen! i would feel so much better.
so....anyone wanna share?
ok. im just telling you what i know, not what will or could happen. and i dont wanna upset you :(
we worked out my friend was around 7 possibly close to 8weeks. when she had her u/s baby only measured 5weeks. she m/c and passed the sac a week later..
hope everythings alright mama!! <3
the US measures me 1 week behind as well but were going with my lmp... everythign should be fine.. if they see the sac thats good!
Don't worry... I was also upset I couldn't hear my baby's hearbeat at 7 wks. and I thought I was like 9 wks, but I was wrong. I think you're fine.
My EDD from LMP is July 9th
But my EDD from both u/s is July 15th,
So my baby has measured a week behind my entire pregnancy!
I'm not sure but I think its prob. too early to tell. I would say the doctor is right, and I wouldnt worry too much. Unless you have had any symptoms of a miscarriage then I wouldn't be worrying. About the 7 wks., the US is probably more accurate. Your due date is usually right give or take a week.
at 5 weeks they can see the heartbeat on the ultrasound I just learned this the other day the doctor was training a student and she asked that question and they said 5 weeks it can be seen on a ultrasound but cant be heard on a doppler until around 10 weeks
and also the ultrasound is most accurate on due date so maybe you werent as far as long as you thought you are
