Like, when you're in labor? I'm dilated to a good 3 - 4 centimeters. So how long do you think it will take to dilate the rest of the way while I'm in labor?
ALSO, if you're already dilated a few centimeters, is labor usually shorter? Plus my cervix is soft and my hips are pretty damn wide, so do you think I may be in labor for a short period?
There is no way to know.
Some women dilate very quickly, some very slowly. "Normal" is about a centimeter every hour while you're in active labor.
And it usually is shorter, but that's not always the case.
at a 3 1/2 when labor started 26 hours later was at a 10 lol so for me took a longgggg time.
it took me 20hours to dilate from 1-10cm...it varies for every person
whenmy water broke i was 3... and 3 hours later he was born... only a half an hour of pushing
I was barely 1 cm dilated at 41 weeks and then all of a sudden my water broke! When i got to the hospital i was already dilated to 3 cm and my daughter was born exactly 7 hours after my water broke! I had no signs of labor either! it's so different with everyones bodies it's hard to say.... but i dilated from 6 cm to 8 cm in 20 mins then 40 minsafter thati was holding my daughter!
i was induced, and i was 3 cm when i went in, but it took 5 hours for me to get to 6, and 1 hour to go from 6 to 10!!! my nurse said the last 3 cms usually go fast... but it differs in everyone.

I have been at 1 cm foreverrr.
Dx
I get induced tomorrow morning at 1am WOOOOOOOOOO!!
