So, I love love love the name Zion, as well as the meaning behind it. But people that i've brought it up to have said "well, it sounds like lion...." "it's hard to pronounce" "he'll be made fun of" ..... and bla bla bla. its pronounced zy-in. like Mount Zion. What are your opinions?

I just hear P.O.D when I hear the name Zion.

"Set your eyes to Zion"

It's an awesome name.

Zion is not pronounced Zy-in. It's Zion, just like Lion.

I've never heard a rastafari call it Zy-in.

Anyway, if you move to hawaii, your kid will fit in with the 300 other Zions.

It's ZY-ohn.

I don't really like it for a baby name. No offense.

I saw your topic post "Zion" and thought "hmm an animal, half zebra half lion?"

Then I read you want it as a name.Oops...

I can certainly tell you I have never met anyone in my life with that name, so it's always cool to hear out of the ordinary names.

It's very Biblical. When I think of Zion I think of Mount Zion.

But I think there are better Biblical names. It's kind of like naming your kid Jerusalem, in my opinion. I wouldn't do it.

It's nice, different. Not something I would go with, but I'm a little more traditional.

I love the name Zayen instead of Zion. I think its more subtle instead of the hard Z then hard I. Zay like way with a Z then either pronounce ann or enn.
