Well, I've heard if you have too many ultrasounds done that it can harm the baby.Idr what was said it does but,I'm hoping that isn't true because my doctor has done one on me everytime I have been, which is 4 times and she has my anatomy ultrasound scheduled for the 25th, which will make 5 in a matter of a few months.
Is it, in fact, true that it can do harm?

no, a friend of mine had 32 ultrasounds... her babies were just fine!!
i dont think your OB would do anything she thought would harm, your baby, if your concerned talk to her. I have never heard of that.
i've had 4 ultrasounds through out my pregnancy and i get one at each NST. i'm pretty sure if it hurt the baby they wouldn't do it so often.
it's been said that it is.. but not proven.
I highly doubt this! I got an ultrasound once a week until 25 weeks now I have one once every 2 weeks. I have two uterus' and it puts me at risk for preterm labor so they were constantly checking my cervical length!
oh ok, just wondering. If I'm remembering correctly someone said it can do neurological damage, which like you guys said I doubt she would do anything that would harm the baby, I didn't think about it like that.
Nope. I had a ton of them.
However, there was a case of a woman who went to a 3d/4d ultrasound place here & the techs there aren't certified, the tech ended up pushing down too hard on the baby or doing something & the lady went into premature labor at 33 weeks, if I remember correctly, the baby didn't make it.
my ob didnt want me to do baby waves because the ultrasound is like a hour long...and she said she didnt feel safe with that but i did it anyway...i have never heard of too many ultrasounds being harmful

Just wondering, kind of related, can the baby hear the sound waves or what? Because my bub always perks right up and kicks around whenever we have an ultrasound or listen to the heart with a doppler..
I don't think it is.... I've had a ton of ultrasound with all my babies due to genetic problems and nothing has been wrong with them.
