I'm 16 weeks pregnant and after almost every meal. I feel sick to my stomach sometimes I puke and sometimes I don't. I don't know what to do. I tried everything the doctor has told me it is not helping. Any idea to help me out?
That was TOTALLY me from 15 weeks to about 24 weeks. I was MISERABLE! I would be SOO Hungry.... but as soon as I ate something I felt like I was going to throw it right back up, and it made my nausea so much worse. What I ended up doing, was making sure I drank ALOT of gatorade or juice with my meal (which will help with dehydration and nausea) and then after I ate, I would lay down for 30 minutes or so, put a cold compress on my head, and drink cold Gatorade or suck on ice cubes. It made those weeks managable. But I know what you mean!! I would try that. If you can't lay down, suck on ice cubes (or chew them) and try really cold Gatorade. Gatorade has been my lifesaver for this pregnancy!! :)
I'm have similar problems now. Almost everytime I eat the smell is so strong that it makes me gag. I hope things get better for you! I know I'm probably going to have to deal with it for a while.
Protien! The smell of meat made me gag for awhile, so I would eat yogurt and nuts (lots of nuts- almonds, peanuts, pistachios, eggs and cheese, whatever) but it helps to regulate blood sugar and helps with nasuea.
I also found that it was more the "feeling" of food in my stomach all of a sudden that caused an issue, so i'd eat teeny-tiny meals all day- basically snacked all day. Half an apple, handful of almonst, yogurt cup, 2 bites of steak, etc etc. As long as I constantly had something in my stomach my stomach didn't flip out so much over the introduction of food all at once. And being too hungry made me nauseaus, too.
that happens to me too. after almst every meal i get sick to my stomach. i think it's because everything is s crammed up in there that the pressure on our stomachs makes us feel fuller faster and makes it hurt when we eat too much. :(
I don't necessarily feel sick- but just kind of crappy about 10-15 minutes after I eat- and it's any meal- I'll feel really, really hungry and eat and feel fine- then all of a sudden I don't feel well... and that lasts until I get hungry again... it's a viscous cycle.
