Bleeding after sex- NOT pregnant! ExpectoPatromum (girl); TTC since Oct 2013; 2 kids; 1 angel baby; Cardiff, X, United Kingdom 3469 posts

I don’t really have anywhere else to turn for this so I am hoping someone out there has experienced this because I’m scared to death.
I recently started bleeding after sex and only noticed when I went pee after and there were a few drops of blood in the toilet and blood that covered the TP. It’s bright red blood and I don’t have pain during sex either.
I went to the gyno for this reason and had an exam and got my yearly pap and everything was fine? She said I may have cervical ectropian or a friable cervix. So I went and got a second opinion and saw another gyno who did an exam and said she didn’t see either of those things? I’m now scheduled for an u/s on Wednesday and I can’t help but to worry uncontroably.

Everything online says it’s cancer- whether it be uterine or endometrial. I’m just terrified. Has anyone else had this happen?? I also have hypothyroidism- idk if that matters.

Thank you so much!

Was this just a one time thing? If so I wouldn't worry too much if everything has checked out fine. Maybe it was just a little rougher and caused bleeding.

I've had bleeding a few times this past year before I got pregnant and I was concerned but at my exam doctor said everything was fine. Could just be a slight abrasion to your cervix during sex.

Are you having rough sex? Are you with a new partner?
