Bug bite? Chamorrita momma 2 kids; California 5652 posts

Ugh. Could just be paranoia and anxiety. But I’m freaking out over a possible big bite on my daughters cheek. This morning I noticed a red spot. It was just red not raised or anything.  Didn’t really notice a change or anything when I picked her up. Then she took a shower and was brushing her teeth and came out the bathroom and said it was itchy. Now it was raised, not really red but raised and a little bigger. Maybe just because she washed her face in the shower so it was touched? Like a mosquito bite and it doesn’t start to itch till you actually notice it or it gets touched? I’m just freaking out because I saw a post scrolling through Facebook about a girl getting a big bite that swelled her whole leg. Of course I wouldn’t let it get so swollen before seeking medical evaluation. But still. Wahhh. I should stay away from Facebook again lol. So I just put some cortisone 10 and she went to bed. Hopefully it helps and she doesn’t scratch in her sleep.

Could be any kind of bug bite really. When we had bed bugs, the bites would start off as a red spot, then get raised and super itchy after a few hours. Not saying you have bed bugs though.

If it gets pretty swollen id take her to the doctor, but otherwise she will probably be fine! Try not to stress mama

Thanks!  This morning it wasn’t a bump anymore and just red. We put more cream before school and it just looks the same. I guess if it’s not getting worse :)
