My acne is awful. I’m tired of messing with drugstore cleansers because none of them have worked. And I don’t want to try accutane.
I’ve heard Proactiv works really well, but you can’t stop using it because the acne will come back. That was just one persons opinion, though. And I’m not sure whether to try their new system or their original.

Back when I did it I actually got on a temporary prescription to clear up my acne (bring everything to the surface). It sucks at first. So I was on minocycline for 2 months (oral) and clydamycin (topical). On top of that I used Proactiv for about 6 months. A one month supply always last me about 3 months. After that my face was always incredibly clear and I was able to stop doing that whole system with just minor pimples here and there. Normal stuff instead of acne.

I need to set up an appt to see my PCP anyways, so I will bring it up and hopefully get a referral for a derm appt. I’ve always had acne but it’s gotten much worse since the birth of my second.

And now that I think of it, could my Mirena be the culprit?Surprised I’m really attached to my very light, short AF and no more babies so I hope not lol
