Breast Reduction Help Jess081316 3 kids; Spokane Valley, WA, United States 845 posts

Hi there. So for starters this is really hard for me to talk about. I have been dealing with this since I was in middle school. I'm super close with my mom and I have never even talked to her about it.

Anyways, im hoping someone has had breast reduction and lift surgery and can give me some help on what the first steps would be. I have state insurance so I'm sure I wouldn't qualify. But trying to have a little hope. I have always had big b**bs and feel as though they are not proportionate to my body. I am only 5"0. I wear a size 38C. Which may not seem big but they sag a lot. I don't know if that can be genetic or what because I have struggled with this my whole life. Esp after 3 kids it's become incredibly worse. When not wearing a bra they sag to my belly button. I constantly have back pain and neck pain. But the emotional part of it is what kills me. It's affected me my whole life. My SO have been together for 6 years and he's never seen me naked. Whenever we are intimate I have a bra or shirt on. Or it's in the dark. Whenever i change I do so in another room. We are taking our first family vacation to Disneyland this fall and I really want to be comfortable . I want to be able to walk around in the clothes I want and not have back pain etc. I want to be able to go swimming with my kids and not have to wear a bra and then sports bra and tank top. I just don't know what the steps to take are. Sorry so long I appreciate the listening ears.

If you have a documented history of your breasts causing back or neck pain or other issues, it could be covered.

I dont. I have always been really embarrassed by it. So just kept it to myself :/

I would make an appointment with your reg doc and discuss these issues with him/her first.
My friend had a reduction, but she was a G or H (I can’t remember). She had to talk to her doc first, who then referred her to a surgeon.

What's there to be embarrassed about?
