Yes, reason being is because it's raised and edges are not round they come to points. I have a freckle on my back that is raised. If they feel the need they will remove it and do a biopsy. I had a friend who had a big birth mark on her arm that was raised with uneven edges. they removed it for the off chance it might be cancerous. Everything was fine though.

Thank you. That was my main reason for asking because skin cancer runs in her dads family, that's why I check it regularly. I'll make her an appointment, thanks!

I'm adopted but both my mom and sister deal with skin cancer. My grandpa had it so bad they dug down to his artery right behind his ear. We all thought he was going to succumb to skin cancer he got so sick. And my mom is always at the dermotologist getting something removed. I'm always coating myself and kids up in Sun screen while outside swimming. Some people dont think how bad skin cancer can get unless someone in their family is affected by it and you watch them go through it.  Hopefully it is nothing in your case and its just a regular old birthmark.

Yes, I would. It may not be anything but it's got some things that may be concerning. They say they remove 2cm or bigger but just in case, I'd have it looked at.
