They don't want you to gain ANY weight? I'm obese by the BMI chart and neither one of my drs ever pressured me that badly!

I've never heard of a doctor who doesn't want you to gain ANY weight while pregnant. That sounds crazy. Im almost 14 weeks and I've lost 11 lbs.

They're not pressuring me, but yeah they don't want me really gaining weight. I'm starting this pregnancy at my end weight with my daughter. I think losing the weight was just from cutting out wine and fast food, I've been maintaining the last like 4 weeks. But yeah it's really hard. They originally told me to eat a lot of Salad but now I hate salad and I'm too hungry so I'm doing oatmeal for breakfast usually, a sandwich or soup for lunch and then dinner is always a mess. lol

Sorry misread. If you're overweight it's not totally necessary gain weight. But I don't think they should be telling you NOT to. Because..rude

Lol! I like how you worded that.
I love my doctor and we have a pretty good relationship, he knows how I am about weight and trying to watch what I eat and be somewhat healthy, so he kinda knows how to word things with me, because he also knows I may flip out on him at any second when I'm pregnant. Lol
And yeah I know it's blowing a lot of peoples minds that I've told so far but I also sit on my butt 12 hours a day in an office, so I think he knows I won't work out and he just wants me to be careful

My dr has never told me not to gain any weight. With my last pregnancy I lost 25lbs and was fine, so far this pregnancy I've lost 7lbs and I'm only like 5 weeks.

That's probably why he's never told you to! He know's you'll lose it anyway! lol

Im way over weight but my midwife didn't say anything about it. I lost 7lbs, gained it all back plus a pound. Then lost a pound. So I'm still at my starting weight and I feel like I eat constantly. I guess it helps Im craving veggies and stuff mostly.

With DD2 i was down 11lbs by the end but I was really sick with her.

My docs didn't say it but I know I SHOULDN'T gain weight... I'm 20 weeks and had lost 15 lbs but I've gained a couple back. I'm scared to think about how many though. Embarassed

I wish I could transplant my extra weight to you. Less stress for us both. 38

That's really good though!!! Even if you gained 15, you technically didn't gain anything! lol
