Need Ideas for Preparing for Second Baby!!! NicoleAshley721 Due October 1 (boy); 1 child; 1 angel baby; United States 290 posts

Hello!

I'm just about 17 weeks with #2. It's been very stressful as I am working for the first time (was a stay at home Mom for almost 2 years), recently started my daughter in daycare, and we were not planning for #2 quite yet (I miscarried summer 2016)
Everyone is anxious and stressed, wondering what we could do to make things more fun, maybe help my 2 year old understand a little more, and prepare for baby boy!
Any ideas are appreciated! Super Happy

Our children were always older when we introduced a new baby. However, I do know that our oldest took a "sibling class" at the hospital where new baby was being delivered. Which I think was fun for her. Also got them cute books to educate them on what it may look like after baby comes into picture. I have seen moms get the older sibling a doll of their choice to "practice" with. Other than those ideas, really just embrace these moments with her before brother shows up!

Thanks! I'll definitely have to look into that! What did they do in the class?

She does have some baby's, she LOVES them. Too funny. She bounces them and says "shh sh sh, it's okay", she tries to feed them, and rocks them. She's been around a baby and is interested I just want her to realize we're going to have one, I don't want to just come home one day and shes like "wth is this?!" lol then I think she might get jealous or annoyed
