What do you think Kansas Bonanno Due November 15; 3 kids; 1 angel baby; North Carolina 2515 posts

So some of you know some don't that last Nov. i was hit by a drunk driver. While lucky to be alive I suffered some really bad injury's. My left forearm is so broken i have plate and 8 screws in that arm, a screw in my right wrist, and my right heel was crushed and i've since had reconstruction and everything now is basically fused to my ankle. That being said, i can hardly walk, i've been out of a wheelchair for about a month now and still am lucky to be standing for 15 min at a time. I can't lift anything over 20lbs. Do you think i have any chance of getting at least temporary disability? There is no way, anytime soon i will be able to go back to work and may never have full function out of my left arm and i've already lost most of the mobility of my right foot. Here are what my injurys look like.

Hardly has any insurance, let alone anything else,we have looked into suing him but its not even worth it, but on the up side he's being sentenced by the grand jury to receive jail time.

I agree with others. When my DH was hit by uninsured driver, the state sued him and offered us to be involved. Maybe that's a possibility? Idk much about any of that but fingers crossed you at least get some help. That's horrible.

You could try. I was in accident where my ankle was crushed and it took a good 8 months-1 year before I could really walk. Good luck.

I would look into it. Were you working when the accident happened?

Yeah I would definitely think you could get it, especially if you're only looking for temporary even though it could end up being a long term thing. People here can get it just for being over weight Shy.
