My son has two BFFs and their moms are on my facebook. They are always posting snowday pictures and how happy they are to have their babies home with them and such.

Me I'm over here like...

d0907c54107dd45bdf067d8b5e2fc783.jpg

I keep telling myself my situation is different. They have only children 8 years old, they have calm well behaved children. I have a 1 year old and an almost 8 year old with ADHD. He's in therapy but not medicated, his therapist and his doctors think he should be but his father is fighting me on it. We're getting another opinion.

I love my son, while the baby napped I got him to settle and play a few rounds of Memory  and go fish in front of the fire but the rest of the day he was wreaking havoc on the house. It was icey windy rain all day so I couldn't send him out to play.

He has a snowday again tomorrow and I'm just dreading it. I feel so guilty... he just bounces off the walls, doesn't think, no impulse control....

but all these other moms are all so happy they get another day with their "babies"

am i horrible?

Nope. My son is usually very well behaved and he drives me crazy when he's home. It throws off my norm and our schedule.

Not at all.
My 8 year old wants constant attention. He always wants to be entertained. He will follow me around everywhere if he is home. I love him dearly, but I cannot keep him constantly occupied. If I tell him to go play by himself, he complains that he is bored. I try to find chores for him to do, but there is only so much stuff I can make up. He has books, art supplies, a backyard to play in, games, toys, legos, etc.

I dont know know what I'll do this summer when he's home with me and the baby.

Nope, I agree with you.

Its March Break here and its only 2 days in and I going... gone... crazy. lol.
My 7yo dd is now banned from youtube, well the tablet in general because the last few weeks she started to act like these annoying little girls in videos she was watching. Toy Freak? I believe it is called. She has become incredibly whinney, mean to her sister, and she just don't want to listen to me. She was never like this, and to top it off her 2yo sister is starting to copy her. Great! Non stop fighting. From morning until bedtime.
Back in February school was cancelled almost two full weeks due to storms, now March Break. SIL, is like thank god no school all week, I don't have to fight with him in the morning, let him sleep in, yadda yadda yadda. Really I will put up with that 1 hr of fighting to brush her hair and get her out the door, to have a few hours of quite in this house, and it don't matter if there is no school my kids are up at the crack of dawn every day.
The weather was also very cold lately, and are getting hit with a Nor'Easter tonight/tomorrow so I just can't send her outside.

I have VERY well-behaved kids ... while we're in public. But at home, it's like pro-wrestling matches constantly. Weekends are like torture sometimes if the weather sucks.

It's true.  I love having my 2 older kids home in the holidays, but after a few days I'm like Wtf was I thinking? 38 especially because they fight so bad, oldest is always starting shit with the middle one and just NO,  GO BACK TO SCHOOL ALREADY.

I have an 8 year old and a 5 year old girls and they drove me completely nuts this last week.  I'm also recovering from surgery so I have such a short fuse.  But I'm like the luckiest mom ever because spring break is this week and I had to go back to work because 2 other managers already had their vacations in when I scheduled my surgery.  My baby sitter is it out of town too, so my only option was my mom who lives an hour away.  And I get off too late to get them at night.

No girl you're not terrible. My almost 8 year old drove me insane all day today. Screaming, fighting with his sister. Constant "can I go play with so and so" (neighbor kids) "I'm so bored, there's nothing to do". So far his school isn't cancelled for tomorrow, but they don't have school Friday.

No you are not. Me and my DH work 40 hours a week and dd is in daycare at that time. When she is sich ( now accually), she is with us at our work because we work in my dh's family farm/shop. It drives me nuts. She is half good half bad behaved:) well not fair to say but she has to be constantly occupied and entratained! Not so easy to do.
I love the time we spent together but i also like our rutine (work/daycare).
