I HATE lettuce so I'd obviously use spinach, but as far as dressing what would you recommend for someone who's never used dressing something that wouldn't be heavy because I'm trying to loose weight.

Vinegarettes are great on spinach. I love balsamic vinegarette, but it's a strong taste.

Then don't eat salads. You can eat healthy and not touch lettuce, or any other leafy green. Mix cucumbers, tomatoes and red onions with some greek yogurt and balsamic vinegar. Ratatouille without cheese. Mix hummus with vegetables. Throw some black beans in with corn, tomatoes and avocado and make a healthy taco bowl with a lime vinaigrette. You have to get creative when losing weight.

Lemon juice is what I use on my salad when I am trying to watch my weight. I'll also make my own dressing with avocados, limes, garlic, salt and pepper. You can throw some cilantro in there as well.

Oil and vinegar or lemon juice would be your best options for losing weight.

I made a raspberry orange vinaigrette that was AMAZING but the recipe calls for orange juice... Which is no bueno for weight loss... Even in small amounts XD

Newman's Own makes a yummy light honey mustard dressing I really like! I tend to overuse dressing (like ranch), but this honey mustard is pretty tangy, so I never overuse. :)
