Around when does it normally change? Or fall out?
I'm so scared Alani going to get my hair texture (VERY thick, course, tight curls...think typical biracial hair) & I'm going to have to fight with her to style it when she gets older. So far, the little bit she has is like her daddy's (soft, dark, loose curls) but I'm trying not get too attached!
My daughter's hair is already falling out and she's only 5 weeks :(But I think it can happen anytime in the first year or so..
My son's hair has yet to fall out or change
my boyfriends two oldest childrens hair never fell out. his son now has hair half way down his back. i've heard a lot that if you wait a while to cut it, it should stay softer instead of changing. i don't know for sure, though, cause this is my first child.
Quoting brandi +1:
Averi was born with a full head of hair. It stayed but started to thin out as months past. Kinda became patchy for a while (thick in the back and thin on the front sides) but new hair was growing underneath. So now at almost 1 she has nice long hair w/ a mix of old and new. The bottom has a wave to it, which would show she has my hair (naturally wavy). We've already cut her bangs 2 times cause her hair grows pretty fast. Still cant figure out what color it is though. lol. :)
P.S. Your daughter is super pretty. She has the "you must love me" puppy brown eyes too!
I have 2 biracial daughters. My oldest is 2 and her hair is in between and very curly n dry. My youngest daughter's dad is mixed. She is 8 weeks old, and was born with a head full of straight black hair... it waves up when it's wet or humid, and I have to wash it at least every other day bc it gets real oily looking. I am wondering if her hair will change since her father is mixed too.
