So I'm leaving in a week to Texas from California. And my DDs dad filed and gave me the paper work on Christmas. Idk what to do! I told him months ago that I was moving and he decides to do it a few days before I leave. What are my options he said that he will go with me to get a notarized letter stating he's ok with it. Will that be ok?

If he's okay with it, then I don't see what the problem is?

He's ok with it but since he filed for visitation and joint custody and the paper work says I can't leave the state or they will automatically take custody of my dd from me

Okay so now I'm guessing a notarized letter is a bad thing? One Eye Question

Oh snaps, nowI'm starting to understand better. Wow that's a hard one, idk what I would do. But I would defenetly not leave the state until we come to an agreement through court. Best of luck!

You're in a very hard situation. When do you guys have court? I would say wait until you speak with the judge and let him know the reason why you want to leave the state, and make sure he understands that you do not wish to take your daughter away from her dad. Also make sure you always mention your dd as "OUR daughter" they like to hear the parents referring to their children as "our" not "my, mine, etc" just a little tip. Also I would talk to the father and try to work things out and get him to comprehend that he's putting it hard for me maybe he can soften up a little, idkUnknown

Unfortunately you will need to go back to court and ask to have that part of the deal amended

Unless you already have something filed with the court saying you can leave, you have no choice but to stay and wait on your court date unless you can get him to sign something beforehand
