Very dangerous grounds to try and tell a woman what she can and can't do with her body for the sake of a yet unborn child.

Maybe there was something specifically about her case where they knew it would be super unsafe to do vaginal? I find it kinda odd that she was so adamant on trying vaginal when they mentioned the risks.  I mean, they did say it could result in death to the baby. Personally I would never jeopardize my baby's or my safety just to do vaginal. Just me though :/

But it's for the sake of the unborn child. Isn't that more important than her body? Lol

And also it would be so easy for her family to sue the hospital if anything happened to her or the baby while trying vaginal, in her case anyway.

The unborn child's life is not more important than her body? lol ya, that is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. Pretty selfish.

I'm not cool with a woman being stripped of her autonomy just because she is pregnant.

Except that trying to do a vaginal birth isn't dangerous, in this case.  They were claiming a VBAC was dangerous, not even allowing her the opportunity the try to deliver vaginally.  That's wrong.  She had a right to decide whether or not she had a c/s.  She wasn't jeopardizing the child's life by asking for a vaginal birth.

It says right in there they told her there were risks for complications or even death. After three c sections obviously her risks would be a lot more than any other woman you has had one. So if a doc advises against it and says there are such risks, you pretty much are jeopardizing the childs life.

Umm ok well people shouldn't get pregnant then if they are going to be selfish and think only of themselves and not their child's safety lol.

Then why are abortions legal?

Sorry she should be able to choose.

Lol if a doctor tells you that your child could die with a vaginal birth, then you are pretty damn selfish to even want to try it.

The woman went to another hospital that was cooperative with her wishes. She had a trial of labor and consented to the c-section after she was failing to progress. That is all she wanted. She wasn't being careless and endangering lives. Like Sly said, that is what anti-VBAC doctors say. Some flat out refuse to even consider it.

Quoting Elizasly:

That is what all anti VBAC doctors say so it's a moot point.

The odds are fairly high that both her and baby would be perfectly fine without a c/s.

Well apparently they didn't think so.

Well I guess personally I would be more concerned about my child's well being than not getting my fourth c section.
