my 4 1/2 month old baby girl keeps rubbing her feet together. she ALWAYS rubs them together. Why? Is she ok? Is it becasue they itch? Or has she discovered them?

She might of just discovered them! my step daughter used to kick her legs under the blankets in our bed it was soo funny to watch...until my belly got to big to have all 3 of us in bed lol

It's more of a habbit than anything I mean I still do that and my mom said I'd started as soon as I realized my feet were there.

lylian does that when she is having a tantrum. shes always done that. she does it so bad she has calluses on the sides of her feet. shes stopped doing it somewhat now, shes 8 months, but for a long time it was really bad. i had to start holding her feet down when she did it because they were so raw. i think she has ocd.

My daqughter used to do that alot when she was a baby I thought it was a little wierd but it did not cause any problems. I wouldn't be worried.

thanks... glad it's nothing to worry about! We keep socks on her, will that prevent her from making them sore?

Keeping socks on might help unless she kicks them off thats what my daughter did she hated socks or the hand booties. Good luck.

My daughter does that too! She does it VERY forcefully when she is fussy or when she is eating. I was thinking that it had to do with her tummy not feeling well or something, but it looks like it is a normal part of being a 4.5 month old baby.
