Is it really that necessary to drink so much water while pregnant and why?

Well you always want to be as hydrated as possible while pregnant. And I'm not quite sure but I think drinking more water helps with your amniotic fluid...

I'm sure dehydration can bring on early labor. Also generally you will feel better, it can cause dizziness and fainting.

Yes, you need to drink a metric shit ton of water. Your baby needs it and so do you.

"Amniotic fluid alone needs to replenish itself every hour by using roughly a cup of water stored in the body. Replacing that water will ensure the fetus is protected within the womb."

Pregnancy increases blood flow. Your body is made up of approximately 80% water. Not drinking water causes a lot of issues when pregnant. However, if you don't want to increase your water uptake, that is completely your call. No one can force you to do something you don't want to do.

I get a jug of water and cut up the fruit in slices they throw it in the water and let it sit in the fridge to cool. After about 3 hrs you should be able to taste it. I have learned though with lemons don't let it sit for longer than 2 days or it will just taste like the peel lol

not drinking enough water can cause preterm labor, and other problems. for the baby and your health. The baby will take everything out of you.
