We are going to be switching Orion who is 2 months old to a convertible. He hates being in the infant seat. We have the Chicco Nextfit for Easton. We love it, but unsure if we want to get the same one for Orion. We need help choosing. Here are the ones we are looking at.
Nextfit (if we decide to get it)
I never even knew Chicco had a convertible carseat (stupid, I know) we've always had Graco MyRide 65. I'd say go with Chicco though. We have that brand for infant carseat and strollers and I LOVE how their stuff is made.
The Graco one looks like it has more cushion from the pictures. I'd go that way since baby is only 2 months.
I moved my daughter to the Britax Boulevard when she was 4 months for the very same reason. She HATED riding in the infant carrier, and it made such a difference when we made the switch. The Boulevard can be RF from 5 to 40lbs, and FF to 70lbs, so we are still using it 2 years later, and don't foresee having to change for a long time. I always felt like she was snug and secure with the infant insert. I love the tangle free harness, and found it especially helpful with she was smaller and much more wiggly! This is such a safe and comfy seat for infants AND toddlers.
I am a proud member of the Britax safety squad- the opinion here are my own
