I had a missed m/c in august and just found out that the bub had an extra 15 chromosome -
trisomy 15 which is not compatable with life.
I have heard heaps about trisomy 21, 13 & 18 but not so much about
15 - is it rare - if it is rare is it "bad" - do i have an increased
risk of having it again?
can i be tested next preg for it???
I am 29 years old, will my age increase my chances of it happening again if we ttc in the next year?
MOST cases of trisomy 15 is not inherited, and are just random. It's pretty low that it'd happen again. If you're worried you can see a genetic counselor.
this...... age and heredity usually isn't a factor w/that specific disorder
thank you ladies! that eases my mind a bit
