I just found out my best friends older sister was in a bad accident and is now in a coma. We are 800 miles away but I really want her to know I'm there for her and her family. What should I do? (Obviously I've been talking to her, but also keeping my space)...but should I sent flowers to her sister in the hospital? At one point I knew her sister well when we were kids.
I would send flowers and maybe a cards saying you are thinking about her.
I would send flowers and a nice card.
I would send flowers and a card.
Ok I will, thanks guys. I just never want to over step my boundaries in a grieving state.
They don't think she's going to make it
Flowers and card letting them know you support them.
Thats so sad :( But yes flowers & a card.
Should I send get well soon card when the prognosis isn't good? Or just a "thinking of you" card?

Can you have food delivered to them?
Quoting Amelia Margaret:" Can you have food delivered to them?"
I was just going to suggest this. When SO's Mother was in the hospital a few Family members had food delivered in for us. People take time off work and eating out every single meal gets to be pricey. It's not something that even crosses your mind in a time like this, but it's greatly appreciated.
