My lil guy is fixing to be 9 months old, and the doctor is on my ass about him drinking to much formula. She said I can give him a lil bit of diluted juice , but he won't drink it! He will also not drink anything that is cold or even room temperature. If his bottle is not hot, he don't want no part of it. I have tried everything to break him from that make them a lil less hot as each bottle goes on, but once it hits a certain temp he dosent like, yep he's done. Please tell me I'm not the only one who has an odd child who only drinks their bottle hot?? It dosent even matter if we've been outside and its hotter than hell outside, he still wants that bottle hot. I am afraid that I have spoiled the child lol..

I wouldn't worry about too much formula..my son barely ate solids or drank much juice/water after he was one. He was also on a formula that wasn't allowed to be heated...so we didn't have that problem..maybe try giving it to him in a cup?? my son is almost 2 and still refuses to drink milk out of anything but I bottle..oye.

His pedi sounds uneducated. Babies over 6 months are supposed to have a good 32 ounces of formula or breastmilk or more

Thank you!! And I told her that to, I mean don't get me wrong he has more than just his bottle during the day ( I have just now really starting foods and such. ) but hell he's only drinking like 25-32 ounces a day, which I don't think is that bad, but according to her its horrible and I'm setting him up to be obese .. :-/

Which now don't get me wrong he does have his days were he seems to be eating every 25 damn minutes and he probably has about 40 - 49 ounces, but I still don't think that's bad? I mean hell if he was finishing off a whole can of formula a day I could see a problrm, but I just don't

this link explains that a baby at around 9 months should only be drinking about 7 to 8oz bottle of formula every 6 hours approximately 4 times a day http://www.babble.com/baby/bottle-feeding-introducing-solids-baby-feeding-guide/feeding-chart-birth-toddler-baby-feeding-guide/

People like to run their mouths about kid's sizes. Apparently, mine is fat according to most and 6lbs (as of last check up) over "ideal". But his doctor just said to encourage him to start walking, which he has.

He's fine. :)

My well child nurse told me the same thing, not the juice though, she told me my baby should be only having 5, 7oz bottles a day, and that we need to give more water, pft not going to happen, breastmilk or formula is the most important for the first year, screw them.

We have our 9mo appt coming up, I'm gonna have to lie my ass off lol.
