If your children's names begin with the same letter has it become a problem? I'm just wondering about paperwork and such.
We are considering naming this baby Elizabeth but we already have an Evelyn.
Never been an issue, ever. Don't see how it would. They actually have the same middle initial too. Which I promise was not on purpose and I even told DH I didn't want to do that. But we could only agree on one name for DS, so that's what happened. They are both EJ
Quoting Just Ames:" We have a JAG and JEG. No problems so far :)"
I legit work with someone who's name is Jeg. Just Jeg. We have a Jed too but his name is short for Jedidiah.
I dont see how it would be an issue? I mean non of my kids share a first letter name, but thats just because I weird like that and wanted them each to have their own letter lol.
Quoting Just Ames:" Umm... never heard of that before  My JEG is Jonathan Edwin "
Ya, when he started I was like, your name is WHAT? I figured it was short for something but it's not
He's a weirdo too. He gives off that "I'm gonna kidnap you" vibe.

I did too :( damn DH.
Nope. Have KMB and KFB. Never had any issues with paperwork. I have modes up birthdays when I was filling out papers and being distracted. But that's easily swapped around.
My brother and I have the exact same initials and same amount of letters in our names. We never had any issues growing up, filling out paperwork or anything, but one year in school we had to use our names (Last name first initial) as our passwords for computer class so when I got to the class my password was already used since he had already taken the class, they had to change mine to my Middle initial but thats the only issue we ever had.
My first two have A names (Allison and Antonio) and my third is an E (Evelyn) . I really wanted the third to be a A name also but DH was against it. I have never had a problem with the first two having the same initial. I really want this baby to have a E name but we can't find anything we can agree on :(
Quoting Vivian [♥]:" I did too :( damn DH."
Thankfully my hubby is a weirdo like myself and agrees with me on not reusing the same first letter. We actually have very similar taste in names as well, its never been an issue for us to agree on a name.
Quoting Ravey Candyass:" It makes sense! The girls middles are Rose and Marie, and people are always like "ew you used fillers" ... [snip!] ... fillers" but they are both my grandmothers names. I really want a Dorothy by DH wanted to stick with the stupid K-LY shit."
Marie is my gmas name too. I want to use it but ya, it's such a filler name now. My grandmas first name that she has never gone by her entire life is Cleo. Ugly haha, and it's not the same, Cleo feels like a different person if I used it. Same with my mom, she's gone by her middle name her whole life but I hate it, it's Lavon. But her fn is Sharon.

DH and I have exact opposite taste. He likes old names, like 18th century ones haha. I swear he got names from his video games. He suggested Silas and then the next day when he was playing Assassins Creed I heard the character say "But Sir Silas blah blah". I just stared at him haha. I felt really disconnected from DS because I guess I just really needed to name him. He ended up being Ezekiel and we call him Zeke. I just kinda gave up. But now that he's here, Zeke totally fits him.
And I have a tattoo of a cursive E with a heart key hanging off (meaning DD has the key to my heart) and glad I don't have to get another tattoo for DS haha.
Quoting Ravey Candyass:" my nana is rosemary, ,but rosemary wouldn't go with Fathead's first name, so it went to Rose (who was also my greatnana. nana rose.)"
That's a shame Rosemary wouldn't work! I'm named after the only other grandma I've known but I want to use the grandma everyone says I look and act just likes name. Kay. Just hope I can convince DH, he doesn't believe in naming kids after people.

What about the name Esme or Evangeline or Emilia?
<blockquote><b>Quoting Pregnancy Addiction:</b>" What about the name Esme or Evangeline or Emilia?"</blockquote>
DH says Evangeline is to close to Evelyn and they would have the same nn. I love Emilia or Emily but my picky husband doesn't like either lol. I love Elena but DH doesn't really like it either. We may just end up using a different letter.
