What size should I buy? (toddler) Bad Things Blacksburg, SC, United States 21226 posts

LO is 23 months and 26lbs. He is fitting pretty good in 24 month sized clothes. He stays in the 50th percentile range. Can anyone advise me on what size I should buy him for winter clothes...when he will be 26/27 months?

IDK whether to buy 2t or 3t...

thanks!

It would probably depend on the fit. When do you project him to be out of 24 months? If your thinking oct/nov, I would go with 2t. I would say 2t anyways.

Probably some of both to layer in a MI winter!! ... Sizing can be tough sometimes, but i would prefer a little bigger over too small...kwim:) Especially to cover his belly, wrists and ankles.

I usually buy big if I'm not sure. Just get pants with adjustable waists. You can roll pants and sleeves up on big stuff, but you can't make too-small clothes bigger, kwim? Just maybe gets some undershirts or something, too?

That sounds good.

I hate the switch over from baby to toddler sizes!

2T was a total waste for us. It lasted about a couple months then he needed 3T.

I haven't had to make it with DD yet because she's so small, and DS just seemed to jump from like, 12 months to 2t overnight so it wasn't too hard, haha.

I usually buy a little bigger. My kids clothes always seem to shrink. lol.

Buy pants with an adjustable waist. You can roll or cuff if things are a bit too long.
