I'm trying to build a supply of breastmilk in the freezer so I've been pumping after each feeding, I'm pretty sure it's causing a foremilk hindmilk imbalance. My 4 week old baby had foamy yellow poop last night and again tonight, and he's constantly acting hungry and wanting to nurse never seeming to be full or satisfied. How can I build a frozen supply by pumping but still make sure he's getting more than just foremilk? Has this happened to any breastfeeding moms?
I don't think pumping should cause that. Are you taking any supplements? I'd he getting pumped milk or are u just stashing it for now?
Pump a few ounces before and then feed. That way lo will get most of the fatty stuff :)
He only gets a bottle about once a day so most of the pumped milk is getting stashed. I figured all the pumping is causing me to oversupply that's why I was thinking the pumping is what's causing it. He been really healthy so far, he weighed 7lbs 6oz at birth and weighed 10lbs 1oz two days before he turned 4 weeks.

I would say if it was a one time thing don't worry but if its prolonged maybe try something diff. I agree tey pumping out a little foremilk first and then feeding him. But unless he's having weight issues its not a huge deal. Mine never had frothy poop her was bright green. If say if it goes bright green then do a change. I would think as long as its still yellowish it's still in the good zone. But idk much about frothy poops.
